Ethereal the High ~ Intro

Ethereal the High rested on his embroiled throne. At the northernmost part of the throne were engravings of billows, and the delightful Kirin, at the southernmost part of the throne were skulls reaching up to the stifle where Ethereal the High sat, prayerful for salvation. This expressed Ethereal the High’s command over life and death in judgment. Such authority was awesome within the Astraian Empire, and none wished to realize the power of judgment, and the chamber it takes place in. The people of Astral Sanctum often however, enjoyed thinking of the thoughts of Ethereal the High’s state of mind. What is going on in his head? What do Gods reflect about? Who do they put their faith in? Can none gratify their aspiration?

So, there Ethereal the High sat. There was no one in particular tending to his whim – not that he considered them necessary. His lengthy, silver hair only sculptured his yielding, but masculine features. His attentive, golden eyes remained unfazed on this painted canvas. Women would often think what it would be like to taste his lips; men would often think what it would be like to have bestowed upon them, such grace. His charismatic and enigmatic stature remained unscathed by the sands of time, and as time passed, his canon only got stronger, and more widely spread.

Ethereal the High is no man at all. He is a divinity. He is supremacy, collective with endless amounts of insight.

Augustus heard a rush of a ostensibly bombarding clamor getting closer and closer to the Throne Room. The hefty, Throne Room doors were profoundly shoved open, and in came Augustus’s younger sister marching with a irate look on her face that didn’t at all bout Augustus’s own lethargic expression. She demanded that Augustus sway their father to let her surface on Astraia-Improba – it was a particularly thrilling escapade she’s always had in mind, even when Astraia, the Realm of Ascension was significantly in existence. Augustus stared at her for a diminutive while deficient of any form of answer on his face. He could tell that his gaze was only provoking his younger sister, Celia, further.

Augustus stood up from his throne, no longer appearing unperturbed, but, with the tall physique of a renowned King of old. In a yielding tone of voice, he spoke, walking unhurriedly toward Celia. “Allow me to ask you this, Celia. What draws you to that tarnished world, and those filthy Corporeals?” He stopped walking once his voice paused. “…You are aware of the dangers on the surface below, and the quandary of refinement before recurring back to the Palace.” He was only a few feet away from her, and he merely stared her down while in wait of a response.

Augustus couldn’t appreciate why his little sister spoke so single-mindedly about Improba, and interacting with Corporeals. There was no concern in his face, residual, wholly unfazed by her dialogue. He walked a few steps closer to her, holding his little sister’s wrist in his right hand, and looking into her eyes. “Now, now, my sister. What you utter is foolishness. The Astraian Empire will burgeon on the world beneath us when the war begins.” In spite of her straight squabble, Augustus stuck to his father’s dogma. Conversely, there was logic in his sister’s words, and as she became more aggravated with Augustus, he could tell she was in fact solemn about surfacing on Astraia-Improba. “…Very well, you’ve been granted my royal consent to surface on the world below.” He paused. “Nevertheless, how can I permit you to continue to do so devoid of the Empire’s welfare? Sway me, my sister; you’re an heir as much as I am. What will you achieve for the Empire?” He spoke with a tad bit of curiosity, though his facial expression remained the alike.

When Celia informed him of the Empire’s enticement, he turned around, and gradually returned to his hold on the throne. “I, Ethereal the High, bequeath upon you, Archduchess of Earth, the accountability of a spy network on Astraia-Improba. You will further our data and understanding of the Corporeals, and of those that dwell on Astraia-Improba, and will arbitrate with any criminals of the Empire you happen to stumble on.” He paused. “By no means will you befall akin to the surface-world, or befall affectionate of the Corporeals, Demonborn and Para-Ronin beneath us.” With that alleged, two of Ethereal the High’s bodyguards opened the front door of the Throne Room, and escorted Celia away.
